Not to be overlooked, Mike masterfully sculpted the body to match the hanging point of the bird to give it a life-like inflight appearance matching what you would see in nature. The slightly over-size bodies are formed to show in flight pocketing and the tufted heads. The cupped wings are chip carved for texture and the primary feathers are relief carved. In addition the bills and inserted feet are carved to a high degree of detail. Condition: Near mint with some small rubs, one on the hens cheek, and some small varnish drip as applied by the artist.
