We are pleased to offer an extremely rare if not unique U.S. Fourth Issue $1000 Liberty Loan bond of 1918 that is being auctioned for the first time to the collecting community. Another exciting find is a Russian Government 500,000 Pound Sterling Issued and Uncancelled Treasury Bill dated 1917 with serial # "05" that is sure to command considerable interest. Additionally, there are over 1200 lots of worldwide banknote proofs, specimens and production material as well as over 1200 lots of scripophily highlighted by over 350 worldwide bonds and shares; over 240 lots of mining certificates; close to 250 lots of U.S and foreign railroads with many additional interesting and exciting certificates in numerous topics and categories. To complete the sale and maintain our theme of archival security printing material, we are fortunate to be able to offer a Thomas De La Rue Banknote Sample book with 40 different worldwide specimen banknotes from the early 1960’s written entirely in Spanish. In addition there are hundreds of rare, unique and previously undiscovered banknotes, stocks, bonds and security printing ephemera from the archive that is bound to delight the beginning novice to serious specialist.
