Silver Victorian Boatswain's Call or Whistle, ca. 1860-1900, approx. 4'' in length, with barrel-shaped buoy and crown over anchor at each end. Keel is lightly engraved with floral motif and line and punchdot border. This two-note type whistle was used for signaling and piping aboard personnel. Condition is excellent showing light toning to silver metal surfaces with light patination in protected areas.
