Oil painting after the Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (Italian 1483-1520) masterpiece,Sistine Madonna also referred to as La Madonna di San Sisto.
Painting depicts the Madonna holding the Christ Child at center. The figures are flanked by Saint Sixtus and Saint Barbara a top cloud forms. Cherubs sit at bottom with their faces resting on their forearms.
The original painting of which this piece is copied was commissioned in 1512 by Pope Julius II as an altarpiece for the church of San Sisto, Piacenza. This image was one of the last works depicting Madonna painted by Raphael. The original painting was later relocated to Dresden. Following the conclusion of World War II, Raphael's work was relocated to Moscow for a decade before it was returned to Germany. It is currently housed in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister. Framed 43.5 inches x 34 inches.

Canvas shows some crackling. Frame has some gilt and gesso loss.
