Revolutionary war era, blued and gilded, British Officers sabre of 37 inches total length. Wire bound leather grip and brass fittings. Half blued blade with engraved flags and trumpets, GRIII Cypher , Royal crest and ladies head designs. Gilding is 80% intact. Made by William Thomas De Peter John, in Solingen. The second half of the blade shows some light rust and edge nicks. No scabbard. Condition good/very good.
