Description
RARE STAMPED "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / VA." UNGLAZED EARTHENWARE FLOWER POT, two molded grapes and leaves handles along with an additional molded single leaf on opposing sides, molded drain hole in base. Number 418 in black grease pen under base, which was how A. H. Rice marked the catalog numbers on his collection. See lot #12 in this auction for another piece from Rice's collection with the same manner of numbering. Fourth quarter 19th century. 8 1/4" h, 7 3/4" dia rim.
