STAMPED "H.C. SMITH / ALEXA / DC" DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE CROCK, "1" gallon capacity stamp but actual capacity is closer to 1/2 gallon, straight-sided form with squared rim and small pulled handles, brushed cobalt horizontal flower and leaf decoration across front and upright single leaves on reverse. 1830-1847. 6 1/2" h, 7" dia rim.
