SCHERMERHORN POTTERY, RICHMOND, VA DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE WATER COOLER, tall straight-sided form with broad squared rim and bold ribbed handles, small threaded spout hole at base, interior with long channeled air vent and remnants of three support lugs, inscribed fancy script "B" below one handle, brushed cobalt round floral blossom sprays on both sides, additional cobalt across the handles. John P. Schermerhorn Stoneware Factory, Richmond, VA. First half 19th century. 19 3/4" h, 11 1/2" dia rim.
