four-poster bedstead with turned and reeded posts, scroll and lyre form headboard, turned spindle footboard, probably Caribbean Islands, 19th century, 89 x 58 x 82 in., interior 54 x 78 in. Lacking bed bolts, large split to rail of headboard, some breaks and repairs with later braces to scroll decoration, some spindles possibly replaced, some joints loose, surface wear and finish losses, acorn finials possibly associated (formerly fitted with canopy(?)).
