Tapestry border fragments,

each with various animals under arches supporting fruit and flowers above mythical figures in classical dress, each with a small panel with Latin phrases, Brussels or Flemish, late 16th/early 17th century, each 72-1/2 x 18-1/2 in., mounted to wood stretchers with later red fabric backing, (four pieces). Fragments of larger borders, fading, scattered repairs, overall grime, not examined under backing. Provenance: Richmond, Virginia Private Collection
