This pleasing note is quite clean and has only light circulation. The face is particularly well centered and has four clear margins. Signed by Thomas Ivers. Notes of this first Paul Revere Engraved "Codfish" issue are far less available to collectors than the second issue, printed from this re-engraved copper plate by Revere, in 1778. Only 5,143 notes were printed in 1776.
