MAJOR GENERAL PHILIP H. SHERIDAN.
1. December 28th, 1865, American Civil War Era, Manuscript Material: Partially-Printed Document Signed, "P(hilip) H. Sheridan, Major General Commanding," Fine. This original document is from New Orleans, 1 page, 9.5" x 7.5" (sight) on Headquarters, Military Division of The Gulf letterhead; light creases along folds. Pass permitting ex-Confederate General Simon B. Buckner to travel to St. Louis and then back to New Orleans. Sheridans medium brown signature is huge, measuring a massive 4" long!
2. Accompanied by an original Manuscript Document, being a Receipt for medical supplies delivered to Camp Garrison's Landing, Virginia, dated July 2, 1862, Very Fine. This boldly written, 12" x 8" folio document is written on period blue lined paper.
Both items are nicely matted and framed under glass for display, in mahogany wood frames measuring 21.5" x 18" and 19" x 14.5" respectively. (2 items)
