NEEDLEWORK PICTURE OF BIRDS.
Probably American, early 19th century, silk chenille on gold silk satin. A pair of birds tending their egg-filled nest in on a branch of an oak tree. In what appears to be the original oval gilt frame with eglomise mat. Minor loss. 17"h. 15 1/4"w. frame.

Condition: Minor thread loss in ground and a few small splits. The mat has small areas of loss.
