THREE PRINTED U.S. PARADE FLAGS.
American, 1864-1912, glazed cotton. Smallest is muslin weight, having 36 stars arranged in six rows of six and 13 stripes. Detached from pole. Some defects. 11 1/2"h. 18"w. 30"pole. The 38 star is a loosely woven cotton with a good sheen to the glaze and stars in a 7,6,6,6,6,7 configuration and 13 stripes. Defects. 22"h. 35"l. 50" pole. The third is a 48 star also on loosely woven cotton with 13 stripes. Six rows of eight stars. Some defects. 26 1/2"h. 43"w. 48 1/2" pole.
Nevada was admitted on October 31st,1864, becoming the 37th state. Colorado was the 38th on August 1st, 1876. Arizona joined the Union February 14th, 1912.

Condition
Condition: Damage due to age not use. All have some discoloration on ends where they were exposed. The 36 star has very minor fraying on bottom edge and is detached from pole. The red has oxidized to a red/orange. The 38 star has splits where it attaches to pole and a 9" split at the other. Top has some soiling. The 48 star has a few small tears, a few holes and splits at the pole end and minor discoloration. Detached from pole.
