93rd Highlanders against the Russian Cavalry at Balaklava, Crimean War, 1853-1856, after a painting titled "The Thin Red Line" by Robert Gibb, 1845-1932, signed "A. McCabe", oil on canvas, European, late 19th century, 30-1/2 x 60-1/4 in.; gilt wood frame. Restretched on new stretcher, lined with wax and linen, retouch primarily bottom center in grass and in areas of black paint; frame with abrasions.
