Monumental Sevres style porcelain urn of baluster form, early/mid 20th century, the obverse finely painted with an allegory of Spring, as a maiden holding a basket of flowers strolls through the wood, putti on either side with a garland of roses, signed ??? Poitevin, the reverse depicting a wooded lake scene accented by colorful flowers, the body mounted by foliate scrolled gilt bronze handles and rotating on a swivel base, squared bronze base with canted corners mounted by floral heads, raised gilt accents throughout, examined under a blacklight, no noted loss, one handle bent at the bottom, the lid with set with an pinecone finial, marked in blue with an S, France, 31"h, 10.5"diameter, 24.25lbs
