(lot of 2) Japanese cloisonne enamel scent bottles from the workshop of Namikawa Yasuyuki (1845-1927), Meiji period, 19th century, the front of each rectangular body enamelled with a panels of butterflies and flowering sprays against a yellow or green ground, the reverse with further butterflies hovering above chrysanthemums on a turquoise blue ground, the surrounding areas with floret lozenges on a black ground, all worked in gilt wires and signed Kyoto Namikawa (workshop of Namikawa Yasuyuki, 1845-1927), mounts gilt copper alloy, 3.25''h Provenance: property of a Bay Area collector; NB: a very similar 'pair' of bottles offerred at Christie's New York, September 22, 2005, lot 254.
