1960 Al Arbour Signed Player Contract. Alger Joseph Arthur begin his professional hockey career in 1949 and lasted until 1971, when he departed from the ice as a member of the St. Louis Blues. But "Radar," as he became known, earned his legendary status roaming the benches as a head coach with a stunning 1,606 games and 781 wins under his belt. Here we provide a signed player contract for Alger's 1960 campaign with the Chicago Black Hawks. Contract also includes signatures from then-NHL Prexy Clarence Campbell as well as Black Hawks GM Tommy Ivan. Accompanying the contract is a fine 8x10" image of Joseph in uniform, sporting the eyeglasses he became known for when he was the last NHL player to don them on the ice. LOA from PSA/DNA.
