Signature LEVITAN (Isaak Il'ich 1860-1900) Russian Autumn Landscape with Farmhouse 18x24cm Oil on Card Provenance: This is one of a group of works which were brought to Australia by the current owner in the late 1990's upon their immigration to this country. The collection was assembled by the current owner's father around the 1920's & 30's in Riga, Latvia, reportedly purchasing the items from emigre Russians. Unfortunately, due to the absence of any documentation or purchase receipts, we are unable to guarantee that this work (or the other works in this collection, all of which bear this annotation) are definitely the works of the artists whose signatures they bear.
