[Birds]. 42 hand-colored engravings by A. Lawson after drawings by Alexander Wilson. From Wilson's ''American Ornithology,'' Phila: Bradford and Inskeep, 1810-1814. Most feature 2-3 bird species, specified in lower margins. Accompanied by title pages to Vols II, IV-VI, and VIII.

Condition

Sheets trimmed to 13 1/4 x 10 1/4 in. Several worn, some tears, all browned to varying degrees, most plates affixed to cardboard backing with tape bits to versos' edges.
