Woodblock Print Y Hampo Japanese Russo War 1904

XRARE JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT BLOCK - Original Artist-Engraved Yew-wood Block containing two Chuban Yoko-e War Scenes from the Japanese Russo War of 1904, by Yasuda Hampo, School of Yoshitoshi, depicting two Russian Officers being pursued up a hill by Japanese soldiers with ships in harbor below and Russian Officers seated at table with Japanese officials signing a treaty, signed and with caption blocks, each image is 6 1/4" x 8 3/4", OS: 15 1/2" x 10 1/4", very good condition, printing surfaces fine, one bit of edging is gone. Extremely rare in any condition, most of the Kyoto blocks were destroyed in the 1923 earthquake and fire.
