Description
Jonathan Winters has a wonderfully fun personality, and it really shines through in this print.
Biography:
Jonathan Winters (1925- ) was born in Dayton Ohio, where he later studied at Kenyon College, and the Dayton Art Institute. After college he was encouraged to enter a talent contest, which led him to a job as a radio disc jockey, and eventually a television personality. His best-known roles are Mork's son Mearth on "Mork and Mindy," Lennie Pike in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," Maudie Frickert, a character he created himself, of a sweet old lady with an attitude. Robin Williams refers to Winters as his idol. Drawing and painting has continued to be a part of Jonathan Winters' life throughout his career. His art is abstract, and it resembles the work of Kandinsky and Paul Klee. Most people know the beloved Jonathan Winters as a funny man, and some are surprised to see how good his art is--full of emotion, and symbolic imagery. He is truly a multi-talented performer and artist.
