1452. Klingon musical instrument from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. (Paramount-TV, 1993-99) Concertina-style instrument constructed from cast resin, metal, faux fur and cloth covered accordion board. In Klingon, this instrument is called a May'ron and was played by the Deep Space Nine station's Klingon chef Ron Taylor "Kaga" to the patrons of his restaurant while Terry Farrell "Commander Jadzia Dax" sings along in the episode, "Playing God." In the book, The Making of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the concept sketch of the May'ron reveals that it can also double as a weapon.
