Geppi's Memorabilia Road Show Icon Auction

Phil Rizzuto, a Yankee immortal and the oldest living member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and Rusty Staub, "Le Grande Orange", seventh on the all-time list of games played at the time of his retirement, have consigned their personal collections with over 1,000 items of incredible memorabilia to Geppi's Memorabilia Road Show. Phil Rizzuto defied all odds against a little man making it in pro sports by going all the way to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Phil Rizzuto, known as "The Scooter", was the shortstop on the Yankees for nine world championship teams between 1941 to 1956 and was the American League's Most Valuable Player in 1950. Rusty Staub, whose career spanned 23 seasons, 1963-1985, was one of the most popular players in the game, and had the unique distinction of “owning the city” at nearly every one of this stops. The 6-time All-Star was the game's 5th youngest player when he broke in, and the 4th oldest when he retired. Also featured in this sale are items consigned by Brooks Robinson, Fred Cambria, Earl Monroe and others which include basketball, football and over 150 lots rare historic boxing items. All items from the Rusty Staub Collection are accompanied by a signed Letter of Provenance from Rusty Staub. Autographed Items have been authenticated by James Spence Authentication. Game Used items have been verified by Mears Authentication. Our boxing items have been authenticated and will be sold with a confirmation letter from JSO Sports.
