Take Home a Nude 2008

Almost 20 years ago the New York Academy of Art first held its Take Home a Nude® auction to raise scholarship funds. Today the event, which features drawings, paintings, sculpture and photographs by students, faculty, and alumni as well as other established artists, is the largest of its kind, attracting over 650 collectors and supporters. This year the event will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Phillips de Pury & Company, 450 West 15th Street, New York, NY 10011. All proceeds for the event are charitable donation to benefit the New York Academy of Art.

Located in TriBeCa, the New York Academy of Art is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational and cultural institution dedicated to the advancement of figurative painting, sculpture and drawing. The first graduate school in the United States devoted exclusively to the study of the human figure, the Academy fosters values and skills intrinsic to the creation of significant contemporary art. The school was founded in 1982 by Andy Warhol and others.
