Architectural Antiques Auction

Auction Highlights are three masterworks of architectural art: large scenic stained glass windows by Lamb Studios, 1913. Thousands of pieces of glass create spectacular views of mountains, forests, and the sea. The work of Lamb Studios is on a par with Tiffany and La Farge. The auction also offeres more than 100 antique gas, electric, and kerosene shades such as ruby, blue, cranberry, swirl, and custard glass, with etched, cut, frosted and hobnail patterns and teardrop, crown top, ruffle edge, cylinders, and globes forms. Also more than 20 opalescent blue shades in all shapes and sizes. Also an outstanding set of four Arts and Crafts hanging lights with opalescent and gold foil glass and bronze fitters, heavy chain and ceiling caps. Also an aluminum floor lamp by with a harp hanger. Mansion quality vintage plumbing includes an original tub from the Dakota apartments in NYC, nickel plated accessories by Brasscrafters, Sanola, J.L. Mott, and Peck Bros., an earthenware tub with bun feet and original hardware, several marble sinks, some with decorated bowls, beveled bath mirrors, towel bars, cup and tp holders, soap dishes, etc. Special features: a hand painted bath suite by Piero Fornacetti and a whole dressing room of nickeled brass and mirrored cupboards and doors. Antique hardware includes a Seated Stag knob, two rare lady knobs, a gilded knob with a Chinaman, multi-colored porcelain and glass, many neo-grec and aesthetic era pieces, a rare amber bubble knob, a Kruzinger doggie, advertising pieces from Corbin and others, hand carved Corbin models, New York City knobs from the Waldorf, Commodore, and Statler Hotels, groups of cupboard latches, sash locks, shutter hardware, etc., rosettes, keyhole escutcheons, and bin pulls—including a very rate Odd Fellow pull with the Eye of Truth. Also antique tiles in singles and sets such as fireplace surrounds, figural parlor stove tiles, American and English tiles from Victorian, Aesthetic and Art Nouveau eras, California Arts & Crafts panels and sets, and old hand painted tiles from Tunisia. Other architectural antiques include carved marble and brownstone, hand forged iron by Samuel Yellin, Addison glass panes, good advertising, iron gates, grills, and fencing, old Gothic sash in red paint, and an Art Nouveau hand crafted entrance that is perfect for a potting shed or wine cellar.
