This nicely accomplished Native American women's dress & yoke set from the Sioux/Lakota Nation is a beautiful example of early 20th century beadwork. The intricate patterns and attention to detail showcase the skill and craftsmanship of the unknown artisan who created it. The dress/yoke are both handmade/stitched with thread. The dress is two pieces has been used. it has little to no staining, visible bead or fringe damage. soft and pliable felted wool fabric and a good Piece of Native American history. The dress measures in length to the base of the fringe 55 inches. From one end of the fringe to the other it measures 33 inches. The fringe on the arms is 17 inches.
Condition
The dress is in good condition it has little to no staining or fringe missing. The bead work is also in good condition with little to no beading missing. Please review the photos for they are part of the description. On the front it has two beaded rosettes and at the base of the dress on the other side it has the metal pieces as well.
