Description
Two 6 5/8” by 8 ½” wood panel Oil Paintings are finely painted by neapolitan artist Michele RICCI.
RICCI born and spent all his life in Neapoli, 19th century.
Both paintings are signed, quality - very good
The fisherman on the left has a long clay pipe and on the right he is smoking a stub of a Cigar. Each painting is in perfect condition with no repairs.
The dry brittle paper on the back was coming off, so I removed it.
These two wood panels have never been removed from the original carved wood frame and are held in place with small cut-nails.
The 11 ¾” by 17 1/8” hand carved wood frame looks perfect, with its original gilding, however the lower left hand corner professionally repaired. You will have to look at the back to see this restoration. There are no other problems or repairs to these two circa 1900 Italian Portrait Oil Paintings.
