German Sterling Silver Four Piece Tea and Coffee Service, Alt-Heidelberg, mid-20th century, with matching Silver-Plated Two-Handled Tray; In the Rococo Style, comprising: a coffee pot, teapot, two-handled covered sugar bowl, and creamer, Weighing 70.18 troy ounces; Coffee pot with hinged lid is about 10 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches diameter, 10 1/2 inches handle to spout. Silver weight is about 30.9 troy ounces; Tea pot with hinged lid is about 7 1/2 inches tall, 6 inches diameter, 9 1/2 inches handle to spout. Silver weight is 21.9 troy ounces; Sugar bowl with cover is 5 1/4 inches tall, 4 inches diameter, 6 1/2 inches across handles. Silver weight is 10 troy ounces; Creamer is 5 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches diameter, 5 1/2 inches handle to spout. Silver weight is 7.29 troy ounces; The 4 pcs. are marked "Original Alt-Heidelberg 925 Sterling Silver" on the bottoms; The two-handled Alpacca-plated tray is 26 1/2 inches long and 18 inches wide, marked "Original Alt-Heidelberg Alpacca Plated" on the bottom; Provenance: said to have been inherited in 2002 by a relative of the current owner who was a colonel with the U.S. Army and stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, after World War II.

The four sterling pieces are in very good condition overall. There are no dents in any of the pieces. The large coffee pot and tea pot have a hazy horizontal abrasion line on each side of the pot several inches long. Otherwise, there is mild darkening and tiny scratches on all four pieces. The silver-plated platter is scratched with some pitting.
