Item Details
Description

In 1975, John Lennon spent three days hanging out with Philadelphia DJ "Banana Joe" Montione for a the WFIL radio fundraiser -the "Helping Hand Marathon," that went from Friday, May 16 to Sunday, May 18. This was shortly after Lennon's famous "Lost Weekend" in Los Angeles with Harry Nilsson and Ringo Starr. WFIL auctioned off many articles of Lennon's personal clothing, such as socks and shoes, autographs, and the harmonica he played on the show. These black suede autographed Beatles' boots are worn, and signed on the left sole in black ink "John Lennon." The shoes were manufactured in England by Shelly's. Accompanied by the flyer from the WFIL auction. The suede on the pointed tips is scuffed, and the soles show that these shoes were worn considerably. Shoe length: 11 1/2, Flyer: 11 x 8 1/2
