An Anglo-Indian carved sandal wood scroll case, second half 19th century, the hinged case of cylindrical form, intricately carved in relief with scenes of tigers hunting deer as other birds and animals look on, all amid a condensed scrolling floral design, the cover with a vacant cartouche, the underside with a crest of lion and horse or unicorn, the ends depicting Indian deities within stylised foliate borders, lacking stand, 44cm in length
