Signed by the illustrious cast of the smash 2015 Broadway musical "Hamilton" written by Lin -Manuel Miranda, recorded in Avatar Studios for the Atlantic label, length 142:13. Although it probably needs no introduction, Hamilton was the highest-selling Broadway cast album of 2015; it debuted in the number one slot of the Top Broadway Albums chart, and Billboard gave it a 5 out of 5 star review calling it an "eye-popping album" with unforgettable tracks including "Alexander Hamilton", "My Shot", "The Schuyler Sisters", "Satisfied", "Wait for It", "The Room Where It Happens", "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story" and more. This original Broadway cast recording is signed on the front cover by fourteen members of the cast and creators. Inside are four LPs, each with a different silhouette on the outer jacket and a memorable quote on the inner jacket - "History has its eyes on you."; "I'm not throwing away my shot."; "How lucky we are to be alive right now."; and finally, "I'm the damn fool that shot him." Hamilton opened at the Richard Rodgers Theater and revolutionized the musical genre with its jaw-dropping narrative about Alexander Hamilton (played by Lin Manuel Miranda), an orphan immigrant from the Caribbean, who came to New York, became secretary to General George Washington, fought the redcoats, wrote most of the Federalist Papers in defense of the Constitution, founded the Treasury, and somehow managed to find time to have an extramarital affair that adds significantly to the theatricality of this musical. The drama is told by a mostly black and Hispanic cast through a brilliant use of rap, R&B ballads, and hip-hop music - unfolding beautifully under the shadow of Hamilton's demise in that fateful duel with Aaron Burr played by Leslie Odom Jr.
