832. Interior space ship control panels and components used by Adam West in Robinson Crusoe on Mars and William Shatner in The Outer Limits episode "Cold Hands, Warm Heart". (Paramount, 1964) These are the original screen-used interior components from the "Mars Gravity Probe 1" space ship featured in the film, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, starring Paul Mantee, and future star of TV's Batman, Adam West.  These prop control panels were produced by Maxwell Smith's VECTREX Corp., the legendary Hollywood prop house responsible for most of the science fiction and medical equipment props used in films from the 1930s-80s. After Robinson Crusoe on Mars (believed to be their first appearance), these props were repainted, reconfigured and reused in many other film and TV projects, including the feature films Marooned and The Reluctant Astronaut, as well as the original TV series The Man From U.N.C.L.E, and several episodes of The Outer Limits. Perhaps the most significant used of these props was their appearance in the classic Outer Limits episode "Cold Hands, Warm Heart, which starred William Shatner as astronaut Jeff Barton.  During this episode Shatner actually uses the word "Vulcan" – a full year before being cast as Commander James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise on Star Trek. Parts include: upper center tabulator control panel (with original cam timer and larger face plate used in Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Reluctant Astronaut still connected), lower center control panel, right and left side large triangular control panels, large light control panel from astronaut's left side, two joy stick control handles, and one wall mounted lighting unit. $3,000 - $5,000
