Description
A hand-made instrument, commonly referred to as a Diddley Bow. Composed of a Pitchfork made by American true temper fork, a fixed hollow box and single string. This item does not come with its own case. A similar instrument was patented in 1936 by Grant Haium of Wisconsin (patent number 2,033,826). Haium's instrument was played with the fork end of the pitchfork at the musician's shoulder, a drum resonator at musician's feet and the box used as a slide.
