Description
Scarce model 1873 Winchester saddle ring carbine in .32-20 caliber, brown patina finish, #7802. The carbine shows a deep brown patina finish with traces of blue mixed in. Some light to slightly heavy erosion and pitting, and darkening to the metal. The barrel address and caliber marking are light but visible. The stocks are fair to good with some splits in the forearm. Normal wear, use, and imperfections. The action is loose but working, the bore is fair. The number "7802" has been restamped on the tang and lifter long ago. There is an area of small fill in the belly of the buttstock where the was a swivel at one time. The numbers are similar to those found on Mexican imported arms. '73 carbines are scarce in .32-20. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
