Description
Two books from his three-volume work, The Memoirs of Herbert Hoover, 6½"x9½", The MacMillan Company, New York, 1951-52. Included are "1874-1920 Years of Adventure," 2nd Printing; and "1920-1933 The Cabinet & The Presidency," First Printing. Dust jackets lacking. Both volumes are boldly inscribed on first free endpaper "To my good friend Senator John Bricker from Herbert Hoover" in blue ink. Both books evidence scattered dampstaining on covers and scattered light foxing to paste-downs and free endpapers; else internally clean and tightly bound with strong signature areas. Generally Good condition. John W. Bricker (1893-1986) was also Republican governor of Ohio and nominee for Vice President in 1944 with Tom Dewey.
