A Chinese Armorial part service, Qianlong, with the arms of Bannerman, comprising: eighteen plates and five soup bowls, each with the coat of arms and the motto 'PRO-PATRIA', one plate with Marchant label, the plates 22.5 cm diameter and the soup bowls, 21.5 cm diameter (23)It is probable this service was made for the eldest son, Alexander Bannerman, born 1715, married 1737 and died 1782清乾隆 蘇格蘭Bannerman家族紋章瓷一組二十三件
Condition
the plates generally in good condition other than one with hair crack and with chips filled to reverse on four plates and some wear to armorials but most in good conditionthe soup bowls with wear to three and lesser wear to the other two and some with filled rim chips to rims
