.40 caliber, 42" octagonal to round barrel. Blade front sight and notched rear sight. Brass furniture with walnut stock that has been enhanced to mimic tiger stripe maple. Fleur-de-lis design behind the lock mortise. Nice clam shell carving behind the tang. Incised lines hi-lighting the features of the rifle. Plain rifle with no patchbox. The barrel has a nice dark brown patina with sharp and crisp lines. The barrel and lockplate have been reconverted back to flint. Overall a very nice piece of true folk art.
