Description

Gilt bronze. Over 1/2" height. Elegant, fully developed form of the domed section with rounded sides and indented cusped top. The back hollowed. Made by the open face mold technique. The surface lightly textured from burial. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored and on gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
