洗呈圓形撇口，淺弧壁，平底，下承三如意雲紋足。沿口、 洗心開光、底及足以鍍金裝飾，光亮閃耀。全器內外滿填淺 藍琺瑯釉為地，通體滿飾紅、綠、黃、藍、白等琺瑯釉圖 案，釉色濃郁雅正，掐絲精細，呈現華美富麗之態。外壁通 景滿飾纏枝番蓮紋，花朵碩大飽滿，疏密有致。內壁以蓮池 為主題，荷塘靜謐，枝葉搖曳生風，水草柔婉，蓮花盛開， 鷺鷥戲於蓮中嬉戲，頗具意趣。洗中心開光內以金線作水紋 錦地，四肢伸展悠遊的海龜占據畫面中心，並以鰻、螺、 蛙、魚、蝦、蟹依序呈放射性排列圍繞，水草點綴其間，色 彩斑斕，華麗氣派，充滿自然靈活之態，富有海晏河清、民 康物阜之意。底部滿飾冰梅紋，宮粉梅與淺藍琺瑯釉相映， 光彩悅目，尤顯芬芳。

洗乃文房用具，為文人在書房盛水洗筆之器，又稱為筆洗。 筆洗從唐代開始漸增多，到明清時期達到高峰。清代宮廷重 視宮內的布置及氣氛，對於陳設用品擺放極為考究，並兼顧 實用性與藝術性，同時喜好賦予吉祥。如古有「海不揚波， 知中國有聖人」及「聖人出則黃河清」之說，《景德傳燈錄》： 「一言啟口，振動乾坤，山河大地，海晏河清。」寓意「天 下太平 」。本件洗器胎質堅實，敷彩雅緻，掐絲纖細流暢， 洗心紋樣以龜為中心，海洋生物繯繞，顯盡繁華錦簇的視覺 意象，示喻「萬象歸一」、「江山永固」、「天下太平」，為清 嘉慶時期不可多得之精美陳設器。
