PROVENANCE:
From The private collection of Earl Sorensen, based out of Atlanta, is known as a prominent Asian Antiques collector. A International businessman whom trades with various Asian countries during the 1960s. On a business trip in Western China, he received a Buddha statue as gift from a monk. Since then, he has became fascinated with Chinese artifacts and Eastern cultures. After many decades, Earl Sorensen has planned his retirement, and decided to pass his beloved collections to appreciate collectors. Earl Sorensen's collections can be found from Lot-33 through Lot-65.

Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Hundred Deer Porcelain Large Vase. Potted in reward vase, thick tall and large, globular lower body, cylindrical neck, wide flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base colour which contrast against blue colour, depicted of hundred deer's on the forest surrounded with dense tree, rocky rock, cliff and mountain. The Hundred Deer design is symbolizes immortality and is the companion of Shoulao, the God of Longevity, a wish for great wealth and success. The deer symbolizes immortality and is the companion of Shoulao, the God of Longevity, while the inclusion of peaches and lingzhi fungus in the decoration is often a further symbolic of longevity. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
