Louis Moe (Norwegian, 1857 - 1945) was a painter, illustrator and writer who settled in Denmark, and is known for many book illustrations, illustrated classical works, fairytales, children's books, books on mythology, and represented in the Oslo National Gallery, as well as the Danish Museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen.
Philip Schuyler Allen (German-American, 1871-1937), professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures, University of Chicago, was the author, translator and editor of numerous books, including books for children and young adults, and books related to teaching of the German languages.
