Pre-Columbian woven textile burial necklace decorated with pairs of outlined diamond-shaped designs. The outer edges decorated with small loops. Nazca, Chimi, Chinca 600-1300 AD. Small size for a woman or child.
Inner Diameter: 4" - 5" (10cm - 13 cm)
OUTER DIAMETER: 5 1/2" - 6 3/4" (14 cm x 17.5 cm)
WIDTH: 1" (2.5 cm)
PROVENANCE: Purchased from Carlos Newell (Peruvian) on 3/23/1989 in San Francisco by the present consignor.
