Item Details
Description
More than twenty quack/questionable medical machines/devices including.

-A DINSHAH GHADIALI SPECTRO-CHROME QUACK MEDICAL DEVICE invented by one of Americas most notorious fakes, Colonel Dinshah P. Ghadiali M.S.C. who, prior to going to prison, put forth the thesis that his Spectro-chrome system of projecting various waves of colored light on affected parts of the body could cure a number of ills. He prosecuted this ruse for decades and made a small fortune doing so.

- Three devices that the charlatan Dr. Abrams claimed could, with a sample of hair or blood, establish a diagnosis and then transmit healing vibrations back to the patient. The useless knob-covered devices such as this aided the doctor in his ruse. Dr. Albert Abrams has been dubbed the 'Dean of All Twentieth Century Charlatans.' He took quackery to a new level, exploiting the public's ignorance when it came to real technologies like electricity, along with phony ones he gave names like 'Oscillation' and 'Radionics.' Around 1916, he wrote a book about Physico-clinical Medicine (another fancy but concocted word): the Practical Application of the Electronic Theory in the Interpretation and Treatment of Disease.

- A 1930s diathermy machine by Hanovia Chemical & Manufacturing Co, Model VD27II in walnut case with an important looking black control panel sporting high tech gauges and knobs along with assorted original accessories.

And much more. as shown.
