Description
An antique late 19th to early 20th-century gilt bronze inkwell. Square shape, the sides are garnished with a relief figurative frieze of putti and birds. Hinged globe lid also depicts a cupid. The piece also features a clear glass inset for ink and two fluted recesses for pens. Engraved signature F. Linke is on the side. Francois Linke, 1855 to 1946, was a leading Parisian cabinet-maker and designer. Marble base. Collectible Neoclassical Cabinet Decor, Desk Accessories And Writing Instruments.
