Description
A 1960s Silvertone 1452 Amp-In-Case electric guitar in red sunburst finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
This Silvertone 1452 Amp-In-Case combo has been kept in very good condition since Randy acquired it. These packages were sold as “All-in-1 Guitar Outfits” aimed at students, essentially with everything you need to get started including the guitar, a case which doubles as your amp, How To Play record, charts, and a pick. As is so often the case, the record and charts are gone, but the guitar and case are still paired after all these years.
The 1452 Hornet guitar is a fast-looking solidbody electric guitar with a steel-reinforced 24 7/8 inch poplar neck and red sunburst-finished poplar body, 21-fret rosewood fretboard, a chrome vibrato bridge with rosewood saddle, volume and tone controls as well as a pickup selector for its twin Lipstick pickups. The case has its own 5-watt tube amp with an 8 inch speaker. Amp is untested.
