Group of four case including:
Avedon Sterling box with diagonal fluting detail and 14k yellow gold logo of man in a top hat. With push button closure. Marked along the inner lip sterling and Avedon.
Metal case with three enamel maritime flags. With push tab closure. Engraved along the exterior back, "To Captain K.G. Towne from crew of U.S.N.S. Buckner, 1959." Unmarked.
One sterling lipstick case with linear engraving throughout and an empty cartouche at the top with floral accents. Hinged lid opens with pull tab. Gilt wash interior. Marked along the lip with French Minerva mark in clipped corner cartouche for .925, marked F and additional indistinct lozenge.
One sterling lipstick case with pseudo hieroglyphic engravings throughout. Hinged lid opens with pull tab. Gilt wash interior. Marked along the lip with French Mercury mark in rounded cartouche for .800 export silver, marked FIT and additional indistinct lozenge and other mark.
Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Condition
Three cases open and close smoothly, the enamel detail case opens and closes tightly but the push button is a bit sticky. All with some tarnishing and wear throughout. Both lipstick cases have some old polish accretions. The linear engraved lipstick case with some small dents to the interior.
