Description
Mid-17th century oil on panel Dutch school portrait painting depicting a gentleman with a large ruffed collar. With two labels affixed to the verso: one from Los Angeles Fine Art Gallery; the other labeled Otto Lemming.
Unframed; height: 16 1/2 in x width: 13 in. Framed; height: 24 1/2 in x width: 21 in x depth: 2 1/2 in.

Condition
The colors are slightly faded. There are significant signs of wear and restoration throughout the painting. There appears to be a repaired crack running vertically through the center the of the work. There are further areas of restoration along the background above the man's head and along the front of his ruff collar. There are two cracks, approximately three inches in length, running vertically upwards from the bottom of the work. The work has been reinforced with a wood lattice along the verso. There are a few small losses along the extreme far edges of the work. Light wear to the frame.
