Native American, Plains Indians, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A fascinating ceremonial club or dance wand featuring a head comprised of 2 cow horns and a wooden handle wrapped in animal hide and colorful glass beads. Bison, cow, or deer fur adorn the bottom and top of the handle, as well as wrap around the middle of the club head, over the fabric that connects the 2 horns. Since the elaborate beadwork would have inhibited one from gripping the handle and using the club as a weapon, it was likely instead created for ceremonial use or display. Quite the striking example!
