Patinated bronze sculpture of a soldier, late 19th/early 20th century, titled "Courage Militaire", after Paul DuBois (French, 1829-1905) and Ferdinand Barbedienne (French, 1810-1892), modelled as a seated soldier with lion-skin cloak and war helmet, this work was inspired by Michelangelo's work at the tomb of Lorenzo di Medici, inscribed to base and verso. [13 1/4" H x 6 3/4" W x 7 1/4" D]. In overall good condition with good patina; scattered scuffs and wear.
